Changes, changes...

All happened at once: new job, shop, flat. Uff!!! How on earth I am going to pack all the things we have? I can't even moan at my husband anymore as I own as much crap as he does. So the list goes: 6 boxes of fabric, 3 boxes of unfinished projects, 5 boxes with cards, papers, stickers, ribbons, thread, waddding, pencils, crayons, several books, lace pillow, bobbins, lace pillwo stand, crafts magazines, box of scissors, box of glue, paper trimmer....... And so on........ And than thousands of films, cds, books, not mentioning clothes, kitchen pots and pans.... I am already so stressed:( This must be the biggest thing we have done so far. And on top of that I still have to work at my old job. Help!!!! Well, thank you Lord for my crafting, it keeps me sane:)

Everyone is ill:(

It's been 5 days now that Elli has been ill. Poor little monkey, she has been so brave, taking all the medication and staying in bed. Well, to be honest first it was Lilli that got ill and had a runny nose then she gave the bug to her sister and now my husband got it!!! Aaaaa!!!!!!! Help!!!!!!!! I have a hospital at  my house at the moment:( Bugs and germs everywhere. Now, thinking about it, I don't feel that great myself! What is the matter with us? I mean it's summertime and the weather is ok. We should be outside playing and walking and instead we all are wrapped in blankets watching Lion King for the 500000000 time:) Only wish I wouldn't have to go to work tonight... Never mind that. To make myself feel better I made those pretty everyday use plate mats:

And some lovely cards too. Paper craft is so addicting isn't it? I just can't help myself when I see pretty designer paper I MUST have them! I don't need to do anything with it, just look at it and admire its prettiness. How about you?

Wierd things I like to photograph:)

 I never thought I would be able to take any decent photographs and my best shots always consisted of me or other people posing and in the background you would always see some sort of famous building. However when we went for the second week of our honeymoon to Devon we took a walk by the sea (the tide was gone!) and this is what I discovered. Fascinating, don't you agree?

   

My obsession about patchwork!

Second post today!!! Isn't that amazing?! I am so excited about the things I make. I know... it's only bits of fabric or card but these little things make me so happy. If I could spend all day crafting I probably would! Do you have the same feeling of forgetting about the whole world when you are busy making new things? Well, here is a quilt I made recently:

Very wet holiday... part II

    ...well after that I thought it can only get better. Little I knew...:) Ok, it was sunny but I was in 3 jumpers so the sunshine didn't really matter much. And than came Sunday, my FIRST wedding anniversary. We were to go out and than watch a film. Good plans. About 4pm the wind got stronger. And stronger, and stronger... And it started to rain. There was no way we could go out! Never mind, we thought! We are not that easily discouraged! We just watch a film and drink wine, as you do...:) About 10pm we had to go outside and check the pegs for the first time that night. Ant we did the same at 11pm and 11.30pm and 1am. It was blowing so much that the rock pegs we had were out within seconds... And it kept raining and blowing till the morning. Well, at least we had a busy night!

       The worst was yet to follow though.... After breakfast we went to check inside the bedroom compartments and it was than when we discovered this:

    I am NOT joking. This is how wet the bed was... The mattress was soaked and this was the wooden board under it! All the linen was wet and generally we thought this was the last time we were camping on the beach... But during this time I realised what a great team me and Robert are. We never said a cross word to each other despite all the stress and possibility of losing our tent and at the end of the day I know that the only thing that matters is two loving arms around me. Thank you for a lovely holiday. I love you Rob.

Very wet holiday...

Have you ever been in this annoying situation when for several months it's quiet and than it all suddenly happens at the same time? Well, it just has happened to me... Stuck in a job that really is not "my cup of tea" I was getting more and more frustrated. Silly hours, long days, not enough time to craft and constant lack of sunshine was getting to me. And than it was my wedding annivarsary and we went away camping. The site was lovely, beach just across the road and a vision of week's laziness made me rally happy. And than it begun: the wind was so strong that we found it difficult to put the pegs in, got the windbrake which turned out useless because you can't put wood into hard standing! The power lead wasn't long enough, shop didin't accept cards (OMG 21 century!), went into town, got another lead, guess what!? The plugs were the wrong kind!!! At that point I was ready to pack and go home:) Normally we can set up in two hours, well, seven hours later, here we were... Thought, well, it's 11pm, we might as well set the BBQ, sausages and burgers were a nice finish to a horrible day...
